It’s true when they say that things aren’t always what they seem. Too true sometimes.
They crave for your story time. I crave for what I had Friday night too. Happily, it didn’t include you.
They hover around you. A pack of vultures waiting for you to give them what they want. And you do. You do. You feed their flame, and the sad thing is, I think you sincerely appreciate it. However, I don’t know anything about you. Boy, isn’t that the truth.
You are aware that there is a fine line between confidence and conceitedness, right? Somehow, I don’t think you do. You’re too busy feeling good that they all love you, that they think you’re perfect, that they think you’re amazing, to see your flaws. And sometimes, not being able to see your flaws sets you back. That’s why I don’t think like them anymore....
You have them under your spell. You have me too. I just choose not to be obvious. I chose not to open myself up to you. I like the mystery, and hope you do just as I do. We’ll have to wait and see. And for every second time you glance at me, I hope that we understand.
